Welcome! Today I'm joining Fishtail Cottage for Cottage Flora Thursday. Please join me for a walk through my garden.
I love birds, but after I got this little guy home I noticed he doesn't look very welcoming! He looks a bit territorial! |
I also love bird baths scattered about my garden. |
This is my 4th of July rose climbing the arbor. |
These pretty white flowers only bloom for a few days-not sure what type of bush this is. |
My parents gave me this rose. They always have roses in their garden. My great grandmother had hundreds of roses in her garden. I remember playing in her garden when the roses were taller than I was. |
Salvia is always pretty. |
I also like to add these candle holders to my garden each year. They're cute and inexpensive. |
Aren't they a pretty addition? |
Another favorite of mine, a bird house. I had a big, beautiful white one on a 6' post, but a tree knocked it down! |
Love Mint in the garden-it's great in iced tea, lemonade or a Mojito. |
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed your walk through my garden. Have a wonderful day!

Beautiful garden! I love birdhouses and birdbaths too.
Oooh, your gardens are so pretty!... and I love your little birdie, perhaps she has eggs under her in that little nest she is protecting!... I love all of God's precious little creatures... loved hearing about happy memories you have of being in your grandmother's garden amongst her roses... my memories are very similar of my own grandmothers and my mama when I was a little girl... your Salvia is just stunning!... xoxo Julie Marie
Pretty garden! My mint is going to bloom, I guess I need to use it more... good suggestions!
Everything looks beautiful, I love your pictures and garden assesories too. I know what you mean I have lots to do and don't feel like it in the heat.
Your garden is beautiful. My hostas are bigger than ever this year - are yours? I suppose it is because of all the rain we had this spring.

Tried to post my comment and lost it. Sorry if it shows up twice. Your first picture made me laugh. Now that you mention it, that birds face does show a bit of attitude. I love all of your gorgeous hostas, your 4th of July rose, and your pop of red candle holders. Thanks so much for visiting my blog. Let me know is you need any Larkspur seeds. I'm sure I'll have plenty to share. Hee-hee! Now following you.
love love love your blog! I'm your newest follower (today)! Thanks you so much for linking up to Cottage Flora Thursday's & sharing your gorgeous garden post! i really like your glass candle lighting you just added... you'll have to let me know if you really use them. i've thought about it - but wonder if we'd light them, or if the jars would fill up with water & give candles something to float on? lol I really enjoyed scrolling through the photo's and peeking around! xoxo, tracie
Love your garden - the birds are beautiful - I am listening as I type to the hummingbirds fight over the feeder! They're so precious! I have seen a few candle holders like that at my friend's shop - they have an insert for tea lights - I think I just need to get a few - love whimsy in the garden!
Visiting via Cottage Flora Thursday and your newest follower!
God Bless,
Kathy
The photos of your garden are lovely and the rose is stunning. I do like your little garden lights and again with you that although your little bird says welcome, he does look a bit territorial!
Happy to say that I am following you too!
I did so enjoy walking through your beautiful garden, and I'll be back again as I am following you now.
Hugs,
Patti
Looks great, that white flower sure does look like a type of rose to me.
