It's a snowy, icy day today.
Although, it's pretty to look at,
I won't be driving in it.
Guess I'll spend my day creating!
Maybe I'll practice my crochet, still trying to get that right.
Anyway, I wanted to show you a couple of candle holders I made for the screened porch.
Yes, spring is on my mind.
I found a few extra terra cotta pots, so I decided to give them a quick coat of white paint.
Then, I sanded a bit off-for that worn look.
I had a stencil from another project, so I tried the pattern on the pots.
Love the turquoise-one of my favorite colors.
Pretty and very simple to make.
Can't wait to set these out on a nice spring evening.
Well, in the mean time I think I'll make a cup of tea
and try to crochet an infinity scarf.
Maybe my daughter will join me since school was dismissed early.
She's always loaded down with homework and college applications,
hopefully she will take a little break to relax.
What are you creating these days?

That's pretty cold! I'm considering picking up crocheting and knitting again. I've never been good at either, but my 8-year old granddaughter has inspired me to do it.
I hope you have had a creative day!
I love the white terra-cotta, very nice!
Hugs, cindy
I love your pretty candle holders. It's cold and snowy here too. I long for spring :)
They are so pretty Lynn..I love the entire vignette behind them too...nicely done...I, too have been crocheting today...making the simple ruffle scarf!!...Good luck with the infinity scarf...I have that on my list of to learn to do...enjoy the snow day..xo, Mariaelena
Great job on the candles. My daughter crochets and has made several of the infinity scarves. I tried to learn how to crochet years ago and gave up.
I am thinking of Spring also - severe weather predicted for tonight - hope they are wrong.
Lovely candle holders , you are inspiring me to try this technique.
