Beauty can be found in all seasons.
Here in the northeast it's still chilly.
I see daffodil leaves peeking out of the ground in my front yard.
While waiting for spring flowers to arrive,
I thought I'd share a photo I took at Lake Minnewaska.
To me this winter wildflower is just as pretty as any spring bloom.
I love the textures.
Sometimes we just need to take the time to look a little closer.
Hope you're having a good week!

Love the bokah in the background Lynn!
That has great texture, I love the dried up flowers, too. It's certainly better than nothing, isn't it. Everything is under several feet of snow here, still.
Hugs, Cindy
That is an interesting flower! I wish it would warm up finally! Thanks for stopping by. xo
To be able to see the subtle winter beauty in dried flowers is a gift. Also, the quote from Picasso on your sidebar is one of my favorites. I'm visiting from "A Favorite Thing".
Dear Lynn
How lovely to meet you at Claudia's party and thank you for visiting my blog!
I agree that is a beautiful wildflower, I can imagine a large vase of them would be stunning.
I've pressed some Queens Anne's Lace flowers from my garden and I can't wait to see how they dry.

Pretty!
Oh Lynn, you do see the beauty in all things, don't you? There is even beauty in a flower that hasn't blossomed yet, as it is getting ready to bloom. I noticed your tulips below too, they are so pretty. Have a nice weekend, and I really enjoy seeing your delightful pictures. Thank you.

Very pretty! If we look closely and notice the smallest details we can always find beauty. Best wishes, Tammy
I love flowers, especially wildflowers. They often look their best when the blooms have faded and present wonderful photo ops! This one is lovely.
Happy weekend - hope it's full of 'favorite things'.

Such an interesting wildflower and you did such a nice job of capturing it.

REALLY love that photo -- the simple subject and colors in the background!
What a gift to find beauty in all things. I love dried flowers and always have something drying. My favorites are hydrangia at the end of summer. Blessings

Its so exciting to see something emerging from the ground, isn't it? I feel so at one with the garden in that moment. Pretty picture.
Its a beautiful photo! : )
Lynn, that is one gorgeous photo. I feel the same - I love the look of flowers that have turned brown and are part of a winter landscape. Thanks so much for joining in this week!

Beauty! For those of us who live in colder climes we learn to see beauty in the simplicity of a past bloom standing out starkly against the winter sunshine. daffodils and crocus are shooting up in our gardens as well.
Just a little addition to my earlier comment: thank you for participating in Sunlit Sunday this week, Lynn!
Lynn,
This wildflower is gorgeous. And the bokeh! Wow! Great texture and beauty. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...easy to find if only one will look. A good lesson! Thank you! Happy Sunlit Sunday!
What a beautiful photo. The dried flower in the sunlight displays such elegance. Love it. Happy Sunlit Sunday!
Excellent shot! You captured it's beauty in the best way!
