Autumn Hike

Recently I got in touch with a friend from my past.
I was so happy when I found her.
One of the things we both enjoy is hiking.
So, she came up this weekend and we decided to spend the day at Minnewaska State Park.
It was so beautiful and we chatted the whole time. I say the sign of a true friend is someone you
may not see a lot or life takes you in different directions for a while, but when you see each other, it's like you saw each other yesterday.

Come see where we hiked...

Lake Minnewaska

A resting place.

A perfect spot for a picnic.

The Autumn colors are gorgeous.

I love the tiny streams rushing down the mountains.

We wandered down an obscure path and discovered this magical meadow.

Tiny pools.

Beautiful textures.

Vivid colors.

A day at Minnewaska is a perfect retreat.
It's one of my favorite places to escape.
Thanks for stopping by! And have a great week!
-Lynn

  20. Hi Linn,
Wow, what a gorgeous place. Love the tiny stream too. The ferns and the meadow are so beautiful. So fun that you reconnected with a friend. I agree, I have a friend that we sometimes go quite a while without seeing each other, but when we do it's just like we saw each other yesterday. Hubby and I love to hike and have a few people that like to hike too. Although, this year we have not been on nearly enough hikes. We have so mnay gorgeous hiking areas all around us.
